It's a basic, fairly thin 'protector', but enough to protect my Mom's table from groceries being set upon on it. It's an old Ethan Allen dining table that's been in the family since I was a kid (50+ years) and I want to keep it in good shape, like it's in now. So I wasn't expecting much with this table pad but I'm satisfied with it. Table won't be abused anyway.I 'Pledged' the top before I put the pad on and it's pretty slippy. No worries, a cake plate and the tablecloth and placemats will help hold it still.I'm afraid more than anything that I'm going to ruin the cover when I try to cut it do

I bought this table protector because I have cats that like to jump up on the table and do all kinds of mischief. Including possibly puking, which would be disastrous since it would, at the very least, leave a big watermark on the table’s wooden surface, not to mention the damage that their claws could do.The quality of this protector far exceeded my expectations. It’s fairly thick and padded, and has a soft felt finish on one side. The other side is coated with vinyl which completely repels liquids, making this protector waterproof, not just water resistant.I’m not sure if I’m going to trim i

Finally found a felt lined, vinyl faced product, that was as thick as my previous liner; which lasted 30 years on a wood table that is used daily (with a cloth, for dining/ without a cloth for games and projects) Since we didn’t have sunshine to lay the new liner outside; I put it in my clothes dryer on low heat for 10 minutes and immediately laid it out flat-tish, over the sofa to cool. That RELAXED THE FOLDS enough for the liner to lay flat, and the residual fold lines are not detectable under my medium weight tablecloth. There was no detectable odor from the liner. I used sharp scissors to

Using this nice elasticized pad under my tablecloth to protect the table. It fits reasonably well and arrived on time.

This pad fit my 42" round dining room table perfectly. I really like that it is held on to the table with elastic.

It is not a very good fit. I ordered the specific size for our table and it is much bigger. This causes wrinkles in the top that show through the tablecloth. I may cut the elastic edge off. It is also very thin. It would not help with heat at all. It would only help with scratches.
